Transfer from London City Airport

You can take a taxi but it is cheaper to use public transport from the airport. Take the  DLR (Docklands Light Railway) to Bank underground station.

Metro 
Journey time: 50 - 60 min, every 5 min  
Tickets: £4.00  
DLR runs every 10 minutes to Bank underground station. Total travel time is approximately 22 minutes. DLR runs daily from 5.30 (from Bank) and 5.28 pm (from City Airport to 0.20 pm) An Oyster Card is the cheapest way to travel (see information at Oyster public transport ).

 

 

Transfer from London Heathrow Airport

London Heathrow has excellent tube, train or bus connections. The options differ significantly in terms of comfort, travel time and cost.

The cheapest way to get from Heathrow Airport to London is by tube (London Underground).  Take the Piccadiliy line. There are three tube stations at terminals 1,2,3 and two separate stations for terminals 4 and 5. The journey by underground to central London (center) takes about 45 minutes. The Piccadilly line runs daily from 5.00am to  11.40pm.

 Bus - National Express

The bus departs from the Heathrow Central bus terminal and runs every 20 to 30 minutes to London Victoria. Order your National Express tickets online.

 

Train - Heathrow Express 
Journey time:  15 - 20 min  
Tickets:   £ 16.50
 
From Heathrow  take the Heathrow Express to central London, it's fast and comfortable. The journey is just 15 to 20 minutes to London Paddington station. From here you can travel by bus, taxi or underground (Hammersmith & City, Central, Circle and District lines). The Heathrow Express runs between 5.28am and 11.41pm from Heathrow and between 5.10am and 11.25pm from Paddington station. Get your Heathrow Express ticket in advance online. 

 

Train - Heathrow Connect 
Journey time :  25 min.to 30 min.   
Tickets:  £ 7.40
 
A cheaper alternative to the rather expensive Heathrow Express is the Heathrow Connect. This modern, comfortable train is just as quick (25 minutes) to Paddington Station, but almost half the price. Heathrow Connect stops at stations en route including Hayes & Harlington, Southall, Hanwell, West Ealing, Ealing Broadway and Paddington. It leaves from terminal 1,2,3 and 4 and runs between 5.05am and 11.40pm from Heathrow and between 4.42am and 11.03pm from Paddington.

 

Taxi

The taxi is an expensive alternative. A single journey into central London will easily cost you £60 pounds and is often slower than the efficient train and tube.

 

 

Transfer from London Gatwick Airport

You can take several buses and train services to central London (Victoria Station).  

Train - Gatwick Express 
Travel time: 30 - 35 min, every 15 min

London Gatwick Airport has a very good train services  to Victoria Station in central London. The fastest train to London is the Gatwick Express. The Gatwick Express takes you to Victoria Station where you'll find connections with the Circle, District and Victoria lines.  Trains run between 4.35am and 0.50 hours from Gatwick Airport and between 3.30am and 00.01  from Victoria Station. Order your Gatwick Express ticket in advance.

 

Train - Southern 
Travel time: 35 - 40 min, every 5 to 10 min  
Tickets:  £ 10.90
 
Southern also runs a train service between Gatwick Airport and Victoria station with trains every 5 to 10 minutes time. These trains depart every 25 minutes from 4.00am until 1.00.  

 

Train - First Capital Connect 
Reistijd:  35 - 40 min., iedere 5 - 10 min.
 
Tickets:  £ 8,90  
First Capital Connect goes to London Bridge, Blackfriars, City Thameslink, Farringdon and St Pancras stations. The ticket is about half the cost of travelling on the Gatwick Express. Due to the excellent underground transport links you can get to almost anywhere in London. Bus - National Express

National Express operates regular coach services between Gatwick and Victoria Coach Station. Some buses stop at Hooley, Wallington, Mitcham Junction, Mitcham London Rd, Streatham, Stockwell and Pimlico. Order your National Express tickets online.

 

Bus - EasyBus 
Travel time: 75 - 110 min, every 60 min   
Tickets:  from  £ 2.00
 
EasyBus provides transport to and from Gatwick Airport using small minibuses. The Gatwick service runs from the airport to Fulham Road and Victoria Station. Prices start at £ 2 one way. The sooner you book the lower the price. You can buy tickets over the Internet or from the driver.

 

Taxi

Taking a taxi is an expensive alternative.  A single journey into central London will quickly clok up £50 pounds on the meter. It's also  slower than the more efficient train and bus.

 

Transfer from Luton Airport

There is a train service from Luton Airport to London St. Pancrass station. Buy your tickets in advance!

 

Train - First Capital Connect 
Travel time: 35 to 45 min, every 15 min  
Tickets:  £ 12.50
 
Take the five minute shuttle bus (£ 1.00) to Luton Airport Parkway railway station. First Capital Connect departs every 15 minutes to St Pancras station.  After midnight it departs hourly. Buy your tickets here.

 

Bus - Greenline (bus 757) 
Travel time: 90 min, every 20 min
 
Tickets:  £ 14.00  
G unit line runs 24 hours a day from Luton and stops at Baker Street Station, Marble Arch, Hyde Park and Victoria Station. .

National Express provides regular bus services between Luton Airport and Victoria Coach Station. The buses also stop en route at Golders Green and Marble Arch. For the best rates buy tickets in advance via the website.

Transfer from Stansted Airport

Despite the great distance between this airport and the city of London, there are good transfer options. However, if your flight leaves before 7.00am plan carefully as there are few early connections.  London Stansted Airport has a very good train to Liverpool Street station in central London.  A cheaper but time consuming option is the bus.  

Trein - Stansted Express 
Travel time: 45 min, every 15 min  
Tickets:  £ 18.00  

The fastest train to London is the Stansted Express to Liverpool Street station. Most trains stop at Tottenham Hale Underground Station (Victoria Line). Change to the tube if you're going to South London, the West End or West London. The trains depart from the airport from 5.30am to 00.30 (until 01.30 hours on Friday and Saturday).

Bus - National Express

Bus - Terravision

Terravision take you directly from Stansted Airport to Liverpool Street station (55 mins) or to Victoria Station (75 min) and vice versa. . You must book in advance as the driver can't sell you a ticket. Buy tickets at the airport or on the Terravision website. Buses run every half hour from 7:15am until 01:00.
