South Bank, part of the borough of Southwark was a no go area. It had a high crime rate and wasn't a place to go sightseeing on foot. Today's that's all changed following a major revamp and the opening of the Millenium Bridge, Tate Modern,restaurants, bars and shops. It's now firmly on the tourist trail and a popular area with Londoners. Thanks to our local experts we've put together a great route along the Thames path, taking in some top attractions. You'll need a morning or afternoon for this walk and there's plenty of stops for a drink or meal along the way.
