Covent Garden
Touristy but a must see Covent Garden, is a big covered market hall. All around the market hall are great little shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. Oneof the biggest draws are the street performers who are here daily. You'll see musicians, comdeians, jugglers and live statues in the streets. It's a fun place especially late afternoon when you can have a drink in one of the bars. Covent Garden is also fun to visit on a Saturday.

Saturday morning
Borough Market
We think this is the best market in London. It's a specialist food market with a huge selection of vegetables, fish, meat and fresh fruits and lots of orgnaic produce. It takes place under the railway bridges near London Bridge station and has a special atmosphere. It's become more touristy in recent years but there's soem advantages to this. Lots of new and exciting restaurants have opened up here so there's good places to go when the market closes. Take the underground to London Bridge Station and it's a five minute walk away. This is a must see.

Saturday evening
London has a great nighlife and there's much more than the obvious Soho, Leicester Square and Covent Garden on offer. This city also has some of the hottest clubs in Europe. You may have to join the queues but it's worth it if you want to party. If you want a relaxing evening there's plenty of pubs and wine bars too but remember these close at 11.00pm in the UK.

Sunday
Sunday Up Market
This market deserves our biggest recommendation, if only for its fantastic location. it takes place in the Old Truman Brewery. You will find over 150 stalls spread over several floors. There's fresh new fashion from young designers, art and handmade jewellery, i thas a real creative buzz about it. The food corner on the north side of the building is a treat for your tastebuds. Foodies will find it difficult to choose between the exotic dishes. Moroccan cuisine, Spanish paellas and empanadas, hand-rolled sushi, Japanese savory pancakes, Indian Street Food, Thai cuisine and Caribbean specialties. You'll find it hard to choose. The Sunday Up Market is more relaxed, cheaper and hipper than neighbouring Spitalfields market. An absolute must.
